Competition results (Spring 2007)

Good results for both kids and adults:

2007 Minnesota State Open Judo Championship (USJI) - Advanced 9-10 - Julian took 2nd, Nazar 3rd and Brandon took 2nd. Zaur dominated as always, Josh and Chris did well.

UoM Open 2007 - Billy and Brandon did well and Nazar took first in the Advanced 9-10 category. Zaur took first in his small division and once again showed his quickness and beautiful throws.

CARLSON GRACIE passes away in US
Feb.1st 2006

One of the biggest names of Vale-Tudo in all times, master Carlson Gracie passed away this Wednesday (1), in United States. The information was released this morning by one of the most faithful pupils of Carlson and leader of Carlson Gracie team in Brazil, Luis Carlos Manimal. Carlson had diabetes and was hospitalized in Chicago, with a bad kidney. One of the last persons to speak with the master in Brazil was Oswaldo Paquet�, who tough his voice strange. According to Carlson's pupil, Gustavo Gussem, Carlson's body will arrive in Brazil, to be barred in his country.

A informa��o foi passada esta manh� por um dos mais fi�is alunos de Carlson e l�der da academia Carlson no Brasil, Luis Carlos Manimal. Carlson sofria de diabetes e estava internado em Chicago com complica��es no rim, vindo a falecer ontem ap�s uma opera��o. Uma das �ltimas pessoas a falar com Carlson no Brasil foi Oswaldo Paquet�, que j� havia achado a voz do amigo muito diferente. So someone tells Junior 2 minutes b4 the Seniors competition about to start that there is a strong Black Belt in the house - from Germany. Junior says, "I need a Gi, sign me up!". There were some beautiful throws - wow!!! Junior sweeps a few categories.
